LIVESTRONG Day is the Lance Armstrong Foundation's one-day initiative to unite people affected by cancer in raising awareness of cancer issues on a global level and in communities across the country. LIVESTRONG Day is October 2, 2009, and this year more than 1000 local events will take place around the world to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.

Southwest Michigan LIVESTRONG Day is a charity event that will consist of a golf tournament, live music, and other entertainment. The goal for the SW Michigan LIVESTRONG Day is to raise awareness and make the largest single donation on October 2nd we possibly can to the Lance Armstrong Foundation (see www.Livestrong.org for additional details).

To do this, we need to enlist the help of the people of our community, local businesses, schools, healthcare organizations, cancer survivors, families of cancer patients, non-profits and more. Funds will be raised in a variety of ways, from smaller group fundraisers, to sales of yellow wristbands, to the registration for the October 2nd charity golf event and more.

Ways you can help us raise funds:

- Yellow wristband sales (in schools, churches, businesses, non-profits)
- Benefit concerts
- Corporate Sponsors
- Merchandise sales
- Donations

This event is sponsored and organized by GenFusion, The Whitcomb Senior Living Community, and BlueStarHighway.com. To help us raise awareness and funds contact us at info@swmiwearsyellow.com.
